This Privacy Policy explains how LexiRead ("the App") handles information when you use the App.
1. Information We Collect
LexiRead does not require you to create an account and does not directly collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or physical address.
The App may store information locally on your device, including:
- reading progress;
- books and EPUB files added to the App;
- bookmarks and saved words;
- translation and language preferences;
- reading settings and other App preferences.
This information is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
2. EPUB Books and Files
LexiRead allows you to import and read EPUB books and other supported content on your device.
Your imported books and reading data are stored locally on your device. We do not upload your personal book collection or reading history to our servers.
3. Translation Features
LexiRead uses Google ML Kit Translation to provide translation features while you read.
Translation is performed on your device using downloaded language models. LexiRead does not send the words or text you select for translation to our own servers.
Language models required for translation may be downloaded to your device when you select a language. These models are used locally to provide translation functionality.
4. In-App Purchases
LexiRead may offer optional in-app purchases that unlock Premium features.
Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. LexiRead does not receive or store your payment card information.
5. Third-Party Services
LexiRead uses Google ML Kit Translation to provide on-device translation functionality.
LexiRead may also use Apple's App Store services to process in-app purchases. Payment information is handled by Apple and is not accessible to LexiRead.
6. Data Storage and Deletion
Information stored locally by LexiRead remains on your device until you delete it, remove the relevant content, or uninstall the App.
Because reading data and imported books are stored locally, deleting the App will generally remove locally stored App data according to the behavior of your device and operating system.
7. Children's Privacy
LexiRead is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information processed through the App and the services we use. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
